Day 40
Today's Scripture:
Ephesians 3:20-21
Key Verse:
Ephesians 3:20
"...Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think..."
The Points:
- God's ability to answer is greater than our ability to ask.
- Prayer moves us from the level of the natural to the level of the supernatural.
- The ultimate goal of prayer is to bring glory to God (Ephesians 3:21), which happens when God does what only God can do.
- When man accomplishes great things, he gets the credit. When God accomplishes great things, He and He alone gets the credit.
- It is foolish to assume that God is limited by human limitations.
- Prayer focuses on what God can do, not on what man can do.
Confess and Forsake Any Known Sin:
Probing Questions:
- Are you self-conscious rather than Christ-conscious?
- Do you allow feelings of inferiority to keep you from attempting things you should in service for God?
- Are you undependable and cannot be trusted with responsibilities in the Lord's work?
- Do you allow your emotions to be stirred for the things of the Lord, but you do nothing about it?
- Are you allowing Jesus Christ to be the Lord and master of every area of your life?
Praise:
I am a child of Jehovah Tsur, the Lord our strength. (Psalms 144:1)
Ephesians 6:10-11 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
Request:
Pray for the return of Jesus.
