Day 37
Today's Scripture:
Romans 15:23-33
Key Verse:
Romans 15:30
"...that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me."
The Point:
Paul invited the believers at Rome to join him in prayer for deliverance and service in Romans 15:31. He used the phrases "with me" and "for me" to make it clear that this was a united effort.
Prayer is not limited by time or space, so minutes and miles are not an issue. When believers combine their efforts in prayer, they strengthen each other for the work of God being done. Through prayer, the work of God is accomplished even by those who are separated by countries or continents.
Confess and Forsake Any Known Sin:
Probing Questions:
- Do I tend to want credit for accomplishments?
- Do I desire to be recognized?
- Do I defend myself when a fault or sin is pointed out in my life?
- Is it my primary drive to look out for myself rather than serve others?
Praise:
I am a child of Jehovah-Sabaoth, the Lord of hosts whose army is fierce. (1 Samuel 1:3)
Psalms 27:1 "(A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
Request:
- Ask God to expose false religious leaders and for the millions deceived by them to come to Christ.
- Ask God to reveal His truth to any people you know who are involved in a false religion.
- Ask God for revival to begin in you.
Psalms 85:6 "Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?"
