Day 10
Today's Scripture:
Matthew 14:19-23
Key Verse:
Matthew 14:23
"...He went up into a mountain a part to pray... He was there alone."
The Point:
"Great men and women of God rush from the limelight to be alone in the presence of their God." - Dr. Walter Allen Yoho
Confess:
Confess and forsake any known sin.
Proverbs 28:13 "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."
Probing Questions:
- Have you ignored the calling of God’s Spirit to come and be with Him?
- Have you let other things take priority over time with God?
- If so, apologize for making other things more important.
- Confess, by faith, your belief that you need time with Him.
- Ask God to help you give Him the best part of your day.
Recommit to spend a few moments with Him in prayer before your feet touch the floor in the morning.
Thank Him now for cleansing. 1 John 1:9
Praise:
I am overcoming the world.
John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
Request:
- Ask God to save people in your life who don't know Him yet. There is no one beyond God's ability to save.
- Start talking to God now about your friends', neighbors', and coworkers' salvations before you talk to your friends, neighbors, and coworkers about God’s salvation.
- Ask God to begin "drawing" your friends, neighbors, and coworkers to Himself so that they will be saved for His glory. (Reference: John 6:44)
- Ask God for wisdom on how you can deepen your relationships with your friends, neighbors, and coworkers.
- Ask for specific ways you can serve these people so it can lead to a gospel conversation in the future.
